Here’s what you can expect to do:

Performs entry level professional library work such as providing reference and referral services, serving as a staff resource, assisting customers in locating library materials, and participating in the collection development and maintenance programs.

Ensures daily operations of a smaller branch or an area of work within a larger library, including tasks related to service delivery and ensuring the needs of staff and patrons are met. Uses community engagement methods to meet the educational, recreational, and cultural information needs of the community. Manages the daily work of circulation staff at small branches, units of large branches, or for specific projects.

Information Specific to this Position: The schedule for this position is full-time and will include some evenings and weekends. This position is 100% on-site.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and 24 semester credits in courses leading to an American Library Association (ALA) accredited master’s degree in Library Science.

OR

A bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience to include at least two of the following: a library setting, project or program implementation, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.

OR

An associate degree or two years of relevant college coursework; AND three years of professional experience to include at least three of the following: experience in library setting, project or program, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.
