Best Buy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Marketing & Advertising Technology team to lead high performing teams serving the Digital Analytics & Technology (DAT) Organization. The Best Buy Advertising & Media Technology team is a new and growing team looking to capitalize on the growing retail media opportunity.

This this role you will be leading Onsite Innovation team that enables new ad experiences for Display Advertising, Sponsored Products and other Advertising Channels. This person will be responsible for delivering new ad experiences on our owned & operated properties such as our Home Page, and the App, and Offsite Channels. You will be vital to leading empowered teams that partner with key internal teams, engage in customer research, execute data-driven prioritization to design, build and launch initiatives driving customer needs, business objectives and key results. You will be part of a growing team whose mission is to enable rapid growth and scale, while improving the operational efficiencies to support the sale, planning, and execution of campaigns.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. For this role, you must be located within a drivable distance to our office in Richfield, Minnesota, or Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for leading a high-functioning team, creating and prioritizing a set of OKR’s for their portfolio of products, considering Best Buy customer experience, business requirements, and the media client value proposition as guiding principles. You will need to constantly break down complex business needs into activities that support the objectives agreed upon in the OKRs. Those activities you define will feed into our team ethos; deliver, learn, iterate, and deliver.
  • Craft and drive complex product(s) and experience vision across a matrixed organization independently.
  • Proficiently lead long term vision strategically aligned to the organizational goals
  • Craft and drive vision, strategy and overall execution for highly complex product lines while delivering against customer value propositions and Best Buy’s strategic and financial goals
  • Demonstrate a strong empathy for the customer and client, and the ability to translate that into a superior customer experience
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Reduce system constraints (resource, financial and technology) to build long-term customer engagement and brand love
  • Lead teams to innovate and transform by embracing new ways of working while encouraging test/learn/iterate mindset
  • Analyze product performance through qualitative and quantitative analysis tools and processes.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
  • 2+ years Product/Program Management experience OR experience working with development, User experience, Strategy or related
  • 1+ years AdTech experience launching ad products and ad formats
  • 1+ year of experience with direct people management and team management
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership or related
  • Knowledge of basic digital advertising performance KPI's
  • Ability to articulate clear and concise requirements for new products and new features
  • Experience in Agile and Product-Model methodologies (outcomes over output)
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
  • 6+ years of Product Management experience, or experience working with development, User experience, Strategy or related
  • 4+ years ad Adtech experience
  • 2+ year of experience with direct people management and team management
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of digital advertising
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of ecommerce experiences
  • Ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, company vision and express that as a ROI.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about new and emerging retail-based media and its technology
