Responsibilities
Supporting members of our Civil Engineering teams Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis and design of roadways, trails, sidewalks, water main, sanitary and storm sewer systems and site improvements Use of Microsoft Excel for development of project bid item tables, quantities and cost opinions Prepare construction plans and specifications, site plans, grading and drainage plans, studies and reports for a wide range of public and private infrastructure systems The position may serve as a Field Engineer or assist survey crews during construction of various projects Manage work activities and team responsibilities and report to supervisor and team members on status of project tasks
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or scheduled to graduate in December 2024) Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Ability to report into the St. Paul, MN office and/or project sites during construction season Must have successfully completed or scheduled to complete the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in the next six (6) months Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience or training with AutoCAD Civil 3D Zero (0) to Four (4) years of experience in the Civil Engineering field Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills Previous Civil Engineering or construction experience, including internships Ability to read, comprehend and interpret engineering plans and topographic maps
