We are looking to add dedicated team members to keep the runways at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport clear for departure! In the winter months, this team is busy clearing snow from runways, taxi ways, roadways, terminals, and public areas. When the snow is not falling, our Airport Maintenance Workers are busy with grounds keeping, mowing, trash removal, fence installation, concrete and asphalt repairs, and other duties that keep the airport looking great!

Pay Differentials/Incentives +$0.60/hour - Class A CDL -OR- +$.40/hour - Forklift Certification +1.25/hour - 2nd Shift +$2.00/hour - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS Two years of work experience operating commercial-rated vehicles, heavy equipment, and/or large agricultural machinery Previous work experience in pavement maintenance Previous work experience in snow removal operations using a variety of snow removal equipment Previous work experience in landscaping or parks maintenance Previous work experience in commercial property maintenance Previous field maintenance experience at MSP or another airport Previous work experience in concrete or masonry work Experience in the use of two-way radio equipment Ability to report to work within 60 minutes Experience with chemical applications related to grounds keeping

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Possession of a Class A -OR- Class B Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) with airbrake endorsement. Satisfactory driving record (see definition under 'Other Information') Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods including shoveling, carrying, etc. Ability to lift, carry and position up to 50 pounds Ability to work outdoors under severe and varying weather conditions for extended periods of time Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Ability to pass a criminal history and employment background check Ability to pass a physical examination
